I’ve been working on my own for a year now, and it’s been a good year. Strike that, great. It’s a wonderful feeling to wake up and know that in many ways I get to define exactly how my day goes. And it’s thrilling every morning to check my email to see what sort of new projects may have popped up over night. (There may be a bit of cheese in here, but it’s all heartfelt and completely honest.)
Over the last year I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of fantastic people, to learn about brand new industries and to do what I love for a living. I am grateful to have the chance to use my eclectic skills to help businesses and people about which and for whom (respectively) I care for very much.
This morning I received a very, very nice thank you email from a client, which 100% renewed exactly how lucky that I am. Gratitude from clients absolutely tickles me neon pink.
“Laura, just a quick word to let you know how much I appreciate the great work you do. I just LOVE the professional feel, ease of use, and image conveyed through our website coupled with its respectful simplicity that “sells” in conservative northwest Ohio. I look forward to the website’s continued growth and development. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am particularly happy with the efficacy of your work product, which efficacy is an obvious outgrowth of your technical knowledge coupled with your sincere interest in personalizing the site to our desires. Thanks.”

Thank you, Lee. You reminded me yet again how fortunate I am to be able to work with people such as you. Also, your new bio is up. 🙂
